Alumni
Meet 2015 organized on 24th
December 2015 was inaugurated by the
Principal , Smt. Lekshmi M S
graced by the presence of Smt. Lalitambika , Vice – Principal and Smt. Suja , Smt. Sheela, Smt. Sumitra and
Smt.Latha. Roughly forty members of the alumni
turned up .

The
Principal in her inaugural address
wished to remind the gathering the need to strengthen the association
with more presence ,more ideas and contribution . She urged to think how each
one can contribute to carry on alumni activities to still greater heights . Teachers who spoke on the occasion
too spoke about the thin attendance and the need to make it more vibrant.

meeting ended with a photo session . Thus the day sweetened tongues with the
hospitality of the Vidyalaya and minds with the good words and the rich get
together .

ACTIVITY REPORT 2015

ON 24TH DECEMBER 2015
The
Alumni association of Chinmaya
Vidyalaya , christened as Chinmaya Mitra , has
become a formal forum of the pass outs of this Vidyalaya to gather and cherish the rich moments they had in this glorious institution . Though it
took its present form since a few
years it is still in its initial stages
. This report is an introspection
of our cordial relation with this
Vidyalaya and the blanks and gaps .
I
would like to take you through a quick tour of activities we had ,since
December 24, 2014.
The
last Alumni meeting was attended by more than seventy members.The elected
representatives were Arjum M A as
Secretary ,Naveen S, as Joint Secretary, Abhiram as President , Vishnu Nampoothiri, as Vice president and Sreedarsh, as treasurer.
Chinmaya
Mitra notifies its activities through social media mainly via its FB page which has 360 +
followers . May the tribe increase. A
glance of the page down the memory
line sums up our activities .
We
organized Best Wishes meeting with the 12th standard students who appeared for Board
exams March 2014.We were able to give token
greetings weighted with
Gurudev’s blessings .But unfortunately, as declared,
we couldn’t present Chinmaya Mitra endowment to the toppers of 12th as the Vidyalaya found it difficult to earmark a few moments
for us to present the award at the Annual day function.
May 8th marked the glorious moment of inauguration of CBCC at
Ernakulam . Sivaraj K C ,
alumnus shared a few snaps from the venue after his brief stay there . The programme from 6th May
to 8th may was wonderfully covered by our FB page . Screen shots from
the live web telecast , flashed at the
same moment , starting with ganapathy
havan to
flagging off Chinmaya Sandesh vahini .
As
per the information we got from the Vidyalaya , a good number of alumni members
attended the reception accorded to Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini at C V Attukal.
Meet
the Mentor Programme was planned to
visit the retired teachers at their
home during the summer vacation . Far
from our expectation , it did not turn out well as we couldn’t ensure
good participation . Still we paid a visit to the former Malayalam teacher Smt. Girija Kumari
.
During
the Chinmaya Birth Centenary
Year , in tune with the CBCC
motto Unto Him Our Best , we initiated a
unique programme titled Chinmaya Vaibhav . It aims at utilizing the service of the old students of
this Vidyalaya in organizing ,
conducting , offering their skills
and abilities back to the very
institution that enabled them , as and when required by the Vidyalaya. We are happy to get it inaugurated and the
inaugural session was handled by Mr. Unnikrishnan B S, Phd
scholar , on Bio- technology .We provided a list of resource persons and the
areas that they would be able to do. Had it been done we could have roped in more
. We urge the authorities to think seriously about the resource pool as this is a noble and
unique venture by any alumni associoation , which CV Attukal can ever be proud
of .
On
the World Environment day , we announced a photo shoot competition on themes on environment and CVP and prizes were handed over to the Vidyalaya
office to be presented to the winners.
As a token of our bond with the Vidyalaya as with the mother earth, we presented two hanging pots to the
Vidyalaya.
As
we informed last time we have a blog and we quarterly bring out Chinmayam –
news letter . Once you submit your mail
id to the blog you will get all blog posts to your mail. Posts till a few months back can be accessed from
chinmayamitra.blogspot.com It is well maintained and updated. What remains to
be done is it should be enriched by your
contributions. We urge you all to visit the blog and make it rich, again only for CV Attukal.
We
could bring out only two quarterly editions of Chinmayam, in place of four owing to dearth of matter
and again we urge you all to go through these and see for yourselves the
efforts taken and how we can make
it unique.
Last
time we put forward a few suggestions to the authorities which still remains to be done . Adding one more, let me bring to your notice that as Chinmaya
Mitra is a recognized body , the Vidyalaya shall encourage any engagement
with the
alumni through the official association .
There
are instances of prompt response by the
office of the Principal , who took steps
to materialize our requests. Thank you madam.
We
take this opportunity to profusely thank the Principal , Vice Principal ,
teachers and non –teaching staff for your blessings , encouragement and
guidance .
With
this briefing , the present office bearers are relinquishing the posts giving
way for more dynamic captains to lead
this association .
